It is well known that we Portuguese once sailed the seven seas searching for new lands, wealth and adventures.
We were brave in those days and gave the world new worlds!

Luckily I don’t have to sail the big oceans on a small ship to sea the wonders of our world …
No Sir, I just need to check with Mr. Tom, the finest host there is, for a trip around the world with SKY WATCH TOURS and with a click here, a click there I am quickly in the USA, England, Brazil, Italy, China, Australia, Finland … well, everywhere.

And on each stop I come to see a little marvel of our world under a great sky!
Hope you can come and see my piece of the sky at lenses & visions

Here, as usual, I only find first class photos.

Excellent photographs my dear friend! The first one reflects calm and peace, the second one on the contrary shows a sky on fire as if the clouds are angry. These two photos make a beautiful juxtaposition. Congratulations!

And ... thank you so much ... efharisto poly for having gently awarded me!

I wish you a beautiful Friday and a perfect week-end with your family,

Friendship from Istanbul/Turkey

Thank you very much indeed for the honour! Coming from one who presents photos like these (especially the boat!)doubles its worth.

However, it may take a day or two before I manage to follow-up.

Indrani said...

Gorgeous, fantastic, I loved the second shot in which the orange clouds are hanging heavy.

Congratulations on winning the award too. :)

Wow.These photographs are amazing. Not only are they brilliant in the display of colors, textures and style but they are rich in their appearance. You could sell anything with photographs like these.

They must have been shot RAW and processed that way.

I think this is the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on.

I really admire your photography choices and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

The photo for your title is really outstanding... And I think I've already mentioned about how I like your background image -- that's a really amazing photo!
And since you aren't in the U.S. I guess I can't wish you a happy Fourth of July, but I will anyway -- after all, it's the Fourth of July for everyone, I guess...

Chris Chisu said...

Yes....your blog and its design are really outstanding.
I fell in love with the picture of the lake and the village on its shore.

Great catch for SWF! This reminds me the quote... "God and Nature first made us what we are, and then out of our own created genius we make ourselves what we want to be. Follow always that great law. Let the sky and God be our limit and Eternity our measurement".... Happy weekend! Mine's up too hope you can drop by..

I always love your photography--the colors, the compositions, the selections. No disappointment here! The top one looks like a painting. Sometimes I believe a picture captures something that I didn't see when I took it. But sometimes a pictures can't capture the entire experience. The moods. The feelings. The tastes and smells. The top picture captures everything.

And no one is more deserving of an award than you. Congratulations!
